The Problem

The Coastal Bend and Corpus Christi in particular, has an ever-increasing population of feral cats that continue to breed at alarming rates. While there are programs in place to attempt to curb the explosion of feral cat births there are simply not enough citizens that are capable of humanely capturing, transporting, and rehabilitating these animals. This stems from a myriad of different causes. From lack of funds, lack of time, or in many cases, physically unable to perform the tasks required to have animals fixed and returned to the colonies from which they were captured.

Our Mission Statement

Dedicated to humanely reduce the feral cat population by providing a full service Trap/Neuter/Release (TNR) experience.

To further educate and promote awareness to the Coastal Bend community to protect the lives of outdoor cats and to provide a second chance for those that can be placed in forever homes.

Let's Work Together

For Every Rescue A Life Saved Incorporated (F.E.R.A.L.S.) sees a need for the services it provides in the Coastal Bend and surrounding areas.  As many citizens are willing to become stewards of the colonies in their neighborhoods, they just cannot or do not have the resources needed to assist in getting their colonies fixed to prevent future unwanted pregnancies.

Here is what we do:
  • Humanely trap community cats
  • Hold for transport for spay/neuter appointments
  • return altered cats after 24 hours for observation
  • rabies vaccination is included
  • all cats are ear tipped for identification as an altered/vaccinated cat
  • if cat needs additional time for rehabilitation - we hold until cat is safe to return to property

What we DO NOT do:
  • we will not remove or relocate community cats or feral cats unless the cats are fixed or scheduled to be fixed and the new home will allow for proper acclimation
  • do not provide services for dogs

Currently all of this is done with little to no charge to the citizens, however, donations are always appreciated!
